This guide is specific to player files, but you might be able to customize it for star system files: Keep a backup of anything that you replace just in case you remove the wrong planets. Then replace the hacked star system file with your new file. After deleting the extra planets use make_versioned_json.exe to convert the edited json back into a normal game file. You should be able to manually delete planets from the json file created by dump_versioned_json.exe. I do not remember what file extension the star systems have, but they are in the same folder as the planet data files. If these are brand new planets you might also try using dump_versioned_json.exe to take a look Ichora's star system file. (Maybe the pranker had some kind of RAT terraformer?) You could try terraforming one of those planets to see if you can get the normal planet image back. Terraformers are able to reset a planet's appearance on the map.
